About Me

Hi I'm Shane and I am a photographer with a passion for live music. I have been documenting concerts for around 14 years. I specialize in capturing the energy and excitement of live music in all it's forms:  bands, concerts, festivals and busking. I look at everything from a guitarist in a bar to international headliners playing to large arenas. I strive to produce unique and captivating images that showcase the essence of each performance. 

I do make an income from selling my images, but it's not the reason I do it, which is why I am just as happy photographing an unknown band as I am someone like "Coldplay". I have actually taken photos at a concert where I was the only member of the public :-)

As part of my work process, I try to take photographs from the fans view - often from the back. I do this for two reasons:

• The fans enjoying the live public performance and their relationship with the band is the fundamental point of live music. Photographers should in no way interfere or block the view of that relationship.

• I also want to recreate how the concert looked from the fans viewpoint.
